Crews Regatta @ MIT in Techs

Forty sailors enjoyed challenging 10-17 knot breezes from the WNW on the Charles River. This regatta is a great opportunity for sailors who have crewed during their college sailing years to finally try taking the helm and skipper for themselves. There was quite a bit of swimming, exhonerations for boat contact, and a few DSQs. Many thanks to Carl Zimba for helping out with scoring and hearing protests.
The Salve team sailed to victory using an ineligible helmsman (the same helm as last year). Their skipper had multiple event helming experience in large NEISA events as well as an intersectional. Although they were listed atop the result sheet, a real congratulations goes out to the Dartmouth ladies in eeking out a victory over the MIT team.
This is the second year in a row which Salve has sent experienced helm to the crews regatta.
