Professor Noringer's creative inventions of the tell tale, the scoop bailer,
fiberglass, and the tiller extension are honored with his name on the newest
trophy in college sailing.

Despite a chilly start, racers enjoyed bountiful sunshine which helped temps
reach into the lower 50s with a 5-8 kt WSW breeze. Sailors enjoyed a
pre-regatta clinic with tips on set up, upwind speed and downwind techniques.

Fran Charles, Brian Swingly and Derek Mess helped out with RC duty as well as
sharing in open coaching of all competitors.

Many teams need to get their sailors updated in the ICSA database. Asterisked
competitors have not registered.

The top 3 skippers are now considered 'ringers' and will not be sailing in this
event again.

Full summary as well as detailed results may be viewed at
