The regatta is co-hosted by MIT and BU to honor the third Sailing Master of MIT. Hatch was an instrumental leader for 29 years contributing to college sailing and teaching somewhere near 40 thousand MIT students how to sail. He also was a member of the BU Sailing Team and won A division in college nationals.

Saturday: A light seabreeze of 4-8 knots had a hard time building pressure all day. The course had a triple gate feature with a mid-course gate on the upwind legs. St Marys Seahawks hold a tight lead over the Catamounts of Vermont with Yale lurking nearby in third place.

Sunday: A single race was completed for A and C divisions in the morning followed by a three hour postponement. Racing was cancelled just before 1400 and all scores through Race 7 were kept. Congratulations to the St Mary's Seahawks who ended up 6 points ahead of Yale in the final tally.

Greg Kiely led a volunteer jury comprised of Sue Epstein, Tim Putnam, Kerry Sullivan and Jeff Dusek. Franny Charles, Wally Corwin, Tevis Nichols and Matty Cohen helped out on behalf of the Beavers. Terrier race management was led by Janel Zarkowsky with assistance from Conor Fowler, Ian Towill, Paul Perry, Eric Gottschalk, Phoebe Gittelson and Andrea Struve.
