Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need to be on MIT's Covid-Pass if I am fully vaccinated or regularly tested (negative)?

>>> Yes, at the moment, everyone visiting the MIT Sailing Pavilion needs to be on Covid-Pass with Covid-Access to campus and weekly testing, even if fully vaccinated.

How do I get off this list?

>>> Your entry here can either be Cancelled or set to Confirmed to avoid getting further emails.

When are Windsurfing classes held?

>>> At the moment, there are plans to hold Windsurfing classes most Fridays in the late afternoon.

Check the main web page or the Windsurfing page for future class links and more info.

I took a Learn-to-Sail Class in Fireflies, how do I get to sail the Lynx Catboats?

>>> After taking the Learn-to-Sail in Fireflies you will have a Swim Rating.

Ideally should practice and build experience and expertise in the Fireflies and then get your Provisional Rating.

After getting the Provisional Rating, suggest you review the Lynx Videos online, and then ask for help from the Dockstaff to get started.

Can also take an advanced Lynx class once we start to offer those again.
