11th Hour Racing IMOCA Boat Tour

We have the unique opportunity to meet the 11th Hour racing IMOCA 60 with skipper Francesca Clapcich!!!

The boat is docked in Charlestown Marina (https://maps.app.goo.gl/HqMxWZBtCW3g5bGh8). We’ll walk to the boat together for the 11:00 AM dock talk/tour. Please plan to arrive by 10:15, since the marina is unfamiliar to us and we don’t want to keep the team waiting. Our tour is scheduled for half an hour.

The spots are limited to 13 people. Everyone is welcome to sign up. I will prioritize people that are racing on Mashnee as this is all about racing. Please only show up if your spot is confirmed.

In the afternoon 4:30-6:30 pm, the 11th Hour Team and Francesca Clapcich will also be at a public event at Island Creek Oyster Bar in Seaport. So, if you want to meet the team then, you can go there too.

Francesca Clapcich is an accomplished offshore sailor and two-time Olympian who represented Italy at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, has raced around the world twice in The Ocean Race, and most recently finished second in the 2025 Transat Café L’OR, racing double-handed across the Atlantic in an IMOCA. Her team, powered by 11th Hour Racing, acquired and refitted the IMOCA formerly known as Malizia-Seaexplorer, previously sailed by Boris Herrmann. Francesca is campaigning to race this IMOCA in the 2028 Vendée Globe, a solo, non-stop, unassisted race around the world. During a short break from racing, the team is taking the boat on its Changemakers Tour from Boston to Newport and New York, connecting with organizations involved in ocean health, inclusivity, and sailing.
