Mashnee Island Camping Trip

Description

This will be a fun sail combined with enjoying nature on Peddock's island. We will sail to Peddock's Island, explore, make a campfire by the beach, and then a part of the group (6 people) will camp on Peddocks and the rest will sleep on Mashnee on the mooring. The camping on Peddock's will be in a yurt in a campground. In the morning, we will then sail back to Boston. 

We wil leave from Waterboat Marina (directions:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/XsVdzAYbvY2wqgk7A). We will meet at the table at the marina at 2:00 PM and we will plan to be back at the marina by noon the following day. When you arrive, just wave to someone at the table to avoid ringing the bell.

Sailors of all levels of experience with current sailing cards, feel free to sign up. Crew selection will be based on the needs of the boat and not in the order of sign up (8 crew will be selected). If you have not yet read the Bluewater Sailing FAQ, please do so. Crew will be selected August 19.

Things to bring:

• Water
• Appropriate layers and sun protection for the weather (it's usually colder on the water but sun is stronger)
• Shoes for the boat (clean shoes that you didn't wear on the streets or thoroughly cleaned)
• Food (bring a snack to share :)). We will also cook food for dinner. Expenses will be shared.
• Personal items for spending the night.
• sleeping bag
• bag no bigger than 40L, no suitcases, otherwise it will be very crowded on the boat

• Sailing gloves

• Headlamp (ideally with red light)

• bug spray
