Northeastern and MIT
Saturday:
A shifty day on the Charles with winds ranging from 0-15 knots out of the South, South-east, led to some exciting but frustrating racing in this 3-division series in both Techs and Fj's.
Both A and B divisions completed 10 races with C completing 8 in a full day of racing that led to 11 protests being filed with the finish boat, however only 6 protests were filed once ashore.
Sunday:
Sunday started over cast and rainy with no wind, so we heard the remaining protests from yesterday, all together, 2 were Disallowed and 3 boats were disqualified.
The breeze filled in soon thereafter allowing sailing in a westerly of 6-10 knots. The sun came out and temperatures were in the high 60's for a lovely, less frustrating day on the river. 17 races were sailed in all three divisions, completing a full rotation.
Many thanks to Matt for running a copious amount of races and to Wally and the rest of MIT for helping out on shore and letting us host the regatta. Also, thanks to all the Northeastern sailors who came down to help out this weekend.
