Thu 21-Jan-2016 | 18:00-19:30 |
Description
EVENT POSTPONED - Continuing our MIT and the Sea informal talks we will have Mike Benjamin and Josh Leighton present a talk on their research conducted at the sailing pavilion. Mike is a research scientist who oversees the lab space in Boat Bay 3 during the warmer months. His focus is on marine autonomy, sensing, and communications with robotic vessels. Josh was an A Division skipper for MIT in his undergrad years but is now developing a fully autonomous sailboat which will enable extremely low cost surveillance of vast geographical areas on the oceans.
Event will be rescheduled for a later date.
