X-Dimension work party

Hello all -
 
We are planning a work party for this Saturday; the primary efforts will be to work on the engine (fixing fuel and oil leaks, changing filters) and lighting (rewiring cabin lights with switches and maybe dimmers. Lights in the V-berth, head and cockpit lockers). The boat is located at Crystal Cove Marina in Winthrop, MA.
 
The engine work will be dirty, and you will bump your hands into cold, hard, sharp dirty metal. I've heard that used handball gloves make an effective glove for working on diesel engines. Wear clothes and a hat that you won't mind getting incurably filthy. You should consider a separate set of clothes for working on the engine and driving home; we will provide the plastic bag to hold your engine clothes.
 
The lighting/electrical work will be more *dainty*.
 
I'm thinking that we will be able to utilize 3-4 folks for these tasks.
 
We are hoping that everyone will remove their street shoes while working on the boat; I have a pair of old sneakers I use only for working on the boat. Street shoes have grit that grinds the fiberglass and makes the boat a mess.
 
I hope to see you at the boat Saturday as we get X-Dimension ready for an eventful 2014 sailing season.
