This 90 minute class is an introduction to the basic fundamentals of sailing with both theory and practice. Students will learn how to rig a boat, some basic sailing techniques, as well as how to tack and jibe out on the beautiful Charles River. Learn more at http://sailing.mit.edu/. Students must attend the first 2 classes.

Prerequisite: Students must attend first 2 classes. 2021/2022- Q1 classes Tue dates: 9/14, 21, 28, 10/5, 12, 19;  Must successfully complete swim and boat test by 9/5/21.

Equipment: Filled water bottle. Synthetic, warm clothing recommended.
