The High School National Sailing Championship for the Clifford Mallory Trophy will be hosted on May 12-14 by ISSA at MIT. MIT is anxious to be the host venue for this 20 team regatta with qualifiers coming from the seven Districts around North America. MIT's colorful, light, and lively turbo FJs and Fireflies built by Whitecap Composites will be used during the series held on the Lower Basin of the Charles River. Spectating and coaching is welcome and accesible with 600 linear feet of dock and ample viewing from the roof deck. The backdrop of Boston and Cambridge is remarkable and the race organizers are reknowned for running fair and very efficient races.
Practice sailing will be available on Friday afternoon with racing all day on Saturday and until 330pm on Sunday. Dinner on Friday and Sunday will be provided to 8 player/team and 2 coaches along with player t-shirts and light continental breakfast on both race days.
All competitors are responsible for keeping their boats pointing at the mark and immediately tacking when the boom hits them in the head. Please let us know if we can answer any questions or help you with electronic registration. Looking forward to seeing you in May.
