Canceled due to lack of windSailors,
We will be sailing to Kittery Maine. We will be departing July 5 and will be returning by the morning of the July 7th. Departure on July 5 may be as early as 5am, but this decision will not be made until a few days prior to the start. Flexibility for the sail is a MUST. Please keep in mind that this event will possibly include night sailing. Night sailing experience is not required but helpful. Crew is expected to come prepared with:
Water bottle, SPF, layers for hot /cold weather / wet weather (Not cotton), headlamp, sailing gloves, and personal items. MIT will provide PFD and tethers and foul weather gear.
Provisioning will be discussed prior to the trip. Meals will include breakfast and lunch on July 5 and Breakfast, lunch, dinner on July 6, and breakfast on July 7. Dinner on July 5 will be on shore at the restaurant in Pepperell Cove. The menu can be found here.
I will be selecting a total of 5 crew for this sail. 4 crew will get a berth and the remaining crew will sleep in the cockpit. If it rains, we will find a way to all stay inside. It will be tight, but possible.
Once crew is selected, we will discuss logistics. Crew should be available for a zoom call early in the week to go over some house keeping items. Costs for the trip will include mooring fee and all provision.
This trip may be altered if there is a not enough skill aboard to make the passage safe or if weather does not agree with our intentions.
