Description

Sail Plan: We will be sailing in Boston Harbor. Itinerary may include motoring out of most of inner harbor if winds light then heading up North Channel or circumnavigating Spectacle or other Harbor Island(s) if winds pick up. 

Conditions: High tide 1:07 pm, 9.1 ft; Low tide 6:58 pm, 1.2 ft; and sunset 8:25 pm. Mostly sunny, some patchy resisual fog possible,  Temp 71-88 deg. NW winds morning, becoming E in the afternoon then SW at night and NW after midnight, around 5 kn. Waves 1 foot or less.   (Marine zone forecast, as of 11 am EDT 28 Jun)

Criteria: You should be a MITNA member or guest, and have an active sailing card. All levels welcome, with a mix encouraged.

Timing: Please try to arrive around 3:00. We will pick up late arrivals from the dock until departing off the mooring around  3:30 Expect to return around sunset. Please be prepared to stay to help de-rig and clean up.

Gear: Suggested gear includes water, a snack, dedicated shoes with non-marking soles, gloves for line handling, sunglasses, hat, and in case windy or cooler on the water/around sunset a jacket or other layering. Wearing a PFD (life vest) (provided aboard) is strongly encouraged when  underway and above deck, and may be required under certain conditions outside the inner harbor (eg, night, reduced visibility, heavy weather)
