Registration
Registration for this set of classes (note the above dates) will run
from Midnight (12:00:01 am) to 10 am on Monday, June 14th.
Confirmations for class spots will be based on your position in the Priority Queue. Please register for the queue before signing up for a class.
Registering for this event does not confirm your entry into the class. You will receive an email stating whether you have been confirmed or not.
Beginners must be available to take Classes 1, 2, and 3 on consecutive afternoons.
For the first day of class:
- Come dressed ready to sail on day 1! Bring extra layers, it's cooler on the water than on campus.
- You must bring a valid MIT ID and complete your daily health attestation before arriving.
- You must be able to swim — no exceptions. You should be able to meet the standard MITNA swimming requirement, but do not need to present proof.
- Pre-registration is required. Click the "Registration" link above (when available) to register.
Before the class
We recommend that you watch the Lynx Catboat rigging video (5 mins) and tacking video (2 mins) before day one. They are a lot of fun and will serve as a great introduction to sailing.
