Provisional Prep Class in Tech Dinghies

Description

Event canceled due to no one signing up.

This class is meant to be preparation for the provisional test and will be focused on single-handed sailing. We will not be signing off on any items or adminstering the test, but we will be reviewing and practicing some of the topics covered by the test including:

• Tacking/Jybing
• Use of the tiller extension
• Man overboard
• Rules of the road

Instruction will be both on-and-off the water. Pre-requisite is that you should have taken a learn-to-sail class within the last year and be comfortable rigging the tech dinghy without assistance (see here). Be sure to review the Guide to Sailing at MIT beforehand.
