Description

Sailors,

This session out, we will focus on what it takes to fly the spinnaker. Particpating crew should have a solid foundation of sailing terminology, winch use and be able to safely and efficiently handle sails. Race crew are encouraged to sign up. I will be selecting 6-7 crew for this outing. Please keep in mind that with a limited amount of time, all crew may not be able to have bow time. With that said, the bow team is only a fraction of the skills needed to fly the chute. It takes a full boat to make it happen successfully!

We will meet at waterboat marina at 5:30. Please be on time. If you have the ability to meet sooner, please let me know and we may coordinate an early arrival team. Crew should come with a pair of sailing gloves as these will be helpful in preventing rope burns or blisters. Please also bring some water in a reusable water bottle.

All participants should read and re read the attached document (LINK). Any questions should be noted and asked. Chances are the question is valid and will be helpful for others as well. Please send me your questions if one pops up.
