| The 2011 Wood Trophy was held in light ESE winds that held up until thunderstorms came through at 2 pm after 6 races were completed. After that, the wind refused to fill enough to race and we called it a day at 4pm. 1 protest was heard resulting in a DSQ. Thank you to MIT instructors Sam Madden and Kyle Hanson for their help in running the event. The team from Sandy Bay Yacht Club of Matthew Safford and Griffin Webber won in fine fashion with four 1st place finishes in the 6 races. They join the many legendary names on the 60 year old Wood Trophy and are the 2011 under 14 Massachusetts Bay Champions. | |||||||||||
