The Lynx Catboat - Rigging

The Lynx is different from the other boats at MIT because it is a gaff-rigged boat (a four sided sail held up top by a diagonal pole called the "gaff"). If you have your Provisional Rating, and would like to sail the Lynx, this video will get you acquainted with the different parts of the boat, how to hoist the sail, and how to prepare to leave the mooring. You could also take the intro to the lynx catboat class. Check the calendar for upcoming dates.
