We were blessed with a beautiful day of sailing on the Charles with a fairly consistent 6-10 knots out of the ESE. We had some close races with some abnormal courses: Race 1 was a standard Modified W/L with a gate, Race 2 was a round-any-Island by CBI modified W/L, Race 3 was a W/L with the windward mark past the Longfellow Bridge by the Museum of Science, Race 4 was a Modified W/L with boats sailing backwards on the downwind leg, Race 5 had all fleets start together and scored together, and Race 6 was a crew driven team race 5v5v5v5v5v5.
 
Thanks to Alvar Saenz-Otero for helping Fran on the Starter boat; Jillian Reddy, Eddie Grinnell, and Charlie Field on the Finish boat; and Wally Corwin manning the grill. The competitors had great costumes, Tufts dressed up as Noah's Ark (Noah, and two of each: Jumbos, Cows, Chickens, Bears) and MIT dressed as "imaginary" characters (Easter Bunny, Leprecaun, Santa Claus, Sand Man, Tooth Fairy, M n M, Hockey Player, i (the imaginary number)). Fran Charles dressed up as TIM the Beaver.
 
Congrats to BC for winning the 40th Geiger.

Full results were computed in an excel spreadsheet, since Navy Scoring does not accept 5 divisions. The MIT Coaches can send the spreadsheet to those interested.
