This is the checklist of things to do before getting underway.

Remove companionway boards, stow in starboard lazarette
Check recent log entries
Make log entry, including at least the following:
- date and time
- full name of each person on board
Remove guppy, stow guppy in bucket in port lazarette
Check holding tank level (under forward cabin port berth)
Check fuel level (under lower port berth cushion)
Check engine oil and coolant levels and top off if necessary
Check bilge water level and pump out if necessary (switches next to nav table)
Check that bilge pump rocker-switches are set to "AUTO"
Check that top three "Always On" breakers above sink are set to ON
- Bilge Pumps
- Engine
- Fuel Pump
Set House battery switch to "House" (on panel above galley sink)
Configure electrical panels to desired operation, typically
- Navigation Lights Master "on"
- Navigation Instruments "on"
- VHF radio "on"
- Horn "on"
If any gasoline or propane is stowed aboard, run bilge blower for 5 minutes
Remove covers to GPS instruments, stow in cabinet behind instruments
Remove binnacle compass cover and stow in cabin
Mount ensign on stern rail (locate on shelf above upper starboard aft berth)
Hoist MITNA burgee (located on shelf above upper starboard aft berth)
Remove 3 winch handles from starboard lazarette, deploy 2 in cockpit and 1 at mast
Deploy cockpit cushions
Place at lease one throwable PFD in cockpit (located in locker across from head)

Review rules with crew:
- No toilet paper in toilet
- Only sit-down use of toilet
- No street shoes on the boat - only light-colored, non-marking soles
