Bluewater:EngineOperation
From MITNA
- start engine (can do as soon as battery switch is ON above):
- check that engine-kill pull-knob is pushed down
- pre-heat 10 seconds if cold starting (per engine Lore)
- crank and start engine (set throttle about 1/4 on, then to lowest when engine starts)
- check that cooling water is coming out with exhaust
- check whether ammeter shows charging of battery
- idle for 5 minutes if cold starting (per engine Lore)
- set throttle so that ammeter shows charging if it didn't while idling
- after running engine about 15 minutes
- set upper battery switch to "1" or "2" (for house battery #1 or #2))
- and immediately set lower battery switch OFF (the starting battery #3) (see battery Lore)
