This is the checklist of thing to do before getting underway.

  • Unlock cabin, starboard lazarette, and stern lazarette. Stow locks in top drawer of nav station.
  • Remove companionway boards. Stow in cabin.
  • Make log entry. Include at least the following:
    • date and time
    • name of each person on board
    • engine hours at start
  • Remove guppy. Stow in bucket in stern lazarette.
  • Remove binnacle compass cover. Stow where winch handles are stowed.
  • Set lower battery switch to "1" (pointer to 9 o'clock position)
  • Turn on the following breakers [discuss ] on the nav station:
    • MAIN
    • NAV INST
