Tasks That Must Be Done First

  • Move mast from aboard to on ground (Frannie to request boatyard)

Tasks That Must Be Done Soon (Before It Freezes)

  • Winterize engine (ThomS)
    • Change Engine Oil and Filter
    • Change Transmission Fluid
    • Fog Cylinders
    • Drain and flush old antifreeze from cooling system and add fresh antifreeze
    • Drain salt-water from raw cooling system. and/or below
    • Add antifreeze to salt-water system/exhaust pot (bio-friendly)
  • Drain Freshwater tanks
  • Add non-toxic antifreeze to freshwater system.
  • Add non-toxic antifreeze to head/holding tank [discuss ]
  • Add antifreeze/rocksalt to bilge (or get the last few inches of water out) [discuss ]
  • Top up batteries' charges [discuss ]

Other Tasks That Should Be Done Soon

  • Bring (borrow/buy):
    • water hose (c.150-foot)
  • Install Winter Cover (needs mast moved to ground first) (crew)

  • Remove battens and dutchman rig from mainsail & furl neatly (mainsail is at pavilion) (crew)
  • Furl Genoa neatly, find a sailbag (Genoa is at pavilion) (crew)
  • Get mainsail washed and perform any necessary maintenance (Frannie)
  • Get Genoa Washed (Frannie) [discuss ]
