* Topsides paint acceptable: has some minor scratches and dings forward; more problematic, small areas blistering and peeling around stern
+
*Bottom paint: needs solid scraping and renewal.  General cracking along plank lines.  Bare patches, including one bare long enough to grow a barnacle
* Bottom paint in good condition, except for a few small patches on top and bottom of rudder where we are down to bare wood
+
*Topsides paint: some dings aft, but generally in good condition.  Light cracking along plank lines
* Varnish in good condition, except for the bowsprit, where there are several cracks through to the wood, showing water discoloration, and the cockpit coamings, which are yellowed and show some expected wear, though no cracks or flaking
+
*Toerails: wear consistent with use in places
* Caulking: good, except one large butt seam by starboard forward sensor where putty starting to separate
+
*Bowsprit: varnish cracked through to the wood at end, where the Code Zero furler would hit it.  Some discoloration around cracks
* Propeller has substantial marine growth, needs full cleaning
+
*Cabin top and hatches: varnish in good shape, need surface renewal only

*Forward hatch: strut is detached from hatch: bedding block for the screws needs to be repaired or replaced
 +
*Propeller/shaft/zincs: zincs showing surface wear only.  Marine growth on propeller and shaft

Bowsprit
* Wood spacer behind the forestay tang is showing water intrusion behind loose varnish

Mast:
* Small patches of missing varnish across length of mast, some showing darkening; generally needs re-varnishing

*Space block under forestay tang could use rebedding again--bedding compound is missing around upper edges.  Check discolored wood for rot at the same time.
* Top of jib track on forestay needs a cap or other finishing element
+
*The upper and lower bronze halyard guides show discolored wood around individual screws.  Check for rot.
* NMEA cable is very poorly spliced at bottom of mast
+
*Upper spreader plates are bowed, but appear secure and flush to the mast at the screws
* Forward end of boom is being chewed up by gooseneck--shorten or protect?
+

* Lower spreaders have some worn spots, and could be re-varnished
