I'm pretty sure the 3 batteries are "flooded" classic water 'n' acid batteries; battery #3 I remember the water in it; believe #1 and #2 are too.  But if they're NOT lead/acid style, we should rewrite our battery switching protocols to not parallel #3 with either #1 or #2 at all...  ThomS 06Dec07 11:07 EST

Seacocks in Head

The smaller yellow-handle seacock allows seawater to enter the toilet bowl. It should be open if people are going to use the head. The larger white-handled seacock is for pumping out the holding tank while at sea. The white handled seacock must be closed and the blue Y-valve in the V-berth port closet must be set for a deck pumpout when within 3 miles of land or when within any No-Discharge Zones (including all of Cape Cod Bay). --Ted 10:49, 7 October 2008 (EDT)

Breakers

As of Aug 11, 2008, the "Nav Inst" breaker is the only one that works and it needs the "Main" breaker to be on to work. This turns on the depth sounder. More breakers will be added to this list as systems come online.--Ted 19:38, 11 August 2008 (EDT)

  • As of Oct 6, 2008, many more of these breakers work. Non-functioning breakers have their labels covered with tape. See the Depart Checklist for recommended settings for breakers when getting underway. --Ted 10:52, 7 October 2008 (EDT)

Freshwater Pump

If there is no water in the tanks, do *not* run the pump (do not turn on the 'water pressure' breaker).
