A guy is a line that controls the position of the spinnaker pole.
The after guy controls the fore and aft position of the pole. The foreguy (which might also called a spinnaker downhaul) keeps the pole from lifting. The lazy guy is a guy that is left attached to the leeward tack of the spinnaker and isn't actually doing anything.
