Mount Desert Is. in the distance, after crossing the Gulf of Maine from Halifax. Cadillac mountain, Champlain mountain, and others would peer at us from the horizon for hours as we made our way towards Northeast Harbor. What was surprising was how far out we would get cell phone reception, which was good as we had to call in to arrange a visit from the U.S> Customs agent.
