  1. Summer Team Racing - David Larson

    1. Maintain steady state from previous years

    2. Turnouts - 6 to 8 teams

    3. CRO fairly successful

      1. Later this year (July instead of June), potentially lost some college sailing inertia

      2. Sold out in 8 minutes

      3. TO DO: figure out best date to hold it

      4. Potentially push for 36 teams

      5. Potentially warmup to college nationals

  2. Bluewater - Lisa SC

    1. Get more people involved

    2. Potentially sign up though MITOC website

    3. Afternoon of half-hour sails on Charles River

    4. Social event at the Pavillion?

  3. LTS Mid-Week/All-in-One Classes - Alpha Sanneh

    1. 367 first time on the water (Mid-Week Class 2)

    2. 341 (88% of Class 1) made it through Class 3

    3. ~800 total new LTS students this season (w/400+ for All-in-One classes)

    4. 57 different instructors overall + terrific dockstaff help

    5. 420s, 36 students 13 classes

    6. Eric Gibber deserves a medal for something, tight ship loose reins

  4. Bought sailing simulator???? - Fran

    1. Sits on dock and put boat on machine to teach people on boat but not on water

    2. Responds to tiller movements

    3. Hopefully help teach new people

    4. Here by February, coming from Italy, got rave reviews

  5. General Pav updates - Stew

    1. 100 different rentals - same as last year

    2. Got UFO

    3. Got 29er

    4. Got new windsurfing sails

    5. Great dock staff crew

    6. Lianne, Matt, and Phil were very big on weekdays

    7. Bill Wally Conan and Hannah(dock staff and teaching) doing a lot on weekends

    8. Excellent maintenance team Joe and John

  6. Windsurfing - Stew and Ali

    1. Very high demand throughout the season

    2. Problem finding instructors

    3. Limited by only having 8 slots

    4. Long waitlist

    5. Board Condition? Potentially get more boards, but instructors are more of the limiting factor.

    6. 2-3 instructors for 4 boards

    7. 12 classes run this summer

    8. Made instructional video - Tobias

    9. Potentially make/reference own rigging videos

  7. Tech Racing

    1. Advanced tech racing

      1. Great turn out at start of season

      2. First day beautiful, every boat out

      3. Brass Rat Championship, not columbus day weekend

        1. Highest turnout of women sailors

        2. Terrible weather, half fleet dropped out​​

  8. MIT Varsity sailing team - Annie Hughes

    1. Co-ed team national championship

    2. Women close to national championship, 4th

    3. Lots of new walk-ons this year 15

    4. One of the only MIT teams that takes walk-ons

    5. Sarah Caso ran new sailor classes, with help.  Greta, Isabelle, Fiona

  9. Fran Charles - Sailing Master's Plans

    1. Going forward on designing new tech dingy

    2. Want prototype on dock by march

    3. Pull the trigger on order by sept, oct.

    4. Looking at moving the mast forward

    5. More sail area

    6. Unstayed or loosely stayed mast

    7. Higher floor

    8. Sidetank turndown right away

    9. Real centerboard box with head on centerboard

    10. More open transom, so easier for people to get in and out of

    11. Get rid of stainless thing in the middle of the boat

    12. End boom sheeting instead of mid-boom sheeting

    13. Mast with a track that bolt rope can go up, more adjustments for mast rake

    14. Try out different centerboard locations

    15. Skipper only hiking straps

    16. $20,000 budget to change mold

  10. Misc.

    1. Look into institute service award for Eric Gibber.  Comes up around March.

    2. Many people interested in sailing but not sure how to do it

    3. UPDATE BULLETIN BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!

    4. Is sailing pavilion on tour?  Potentially put it on tour

    5. Impressive quality of sailing community

    6. Is it possible for someone who wants to go for a sail, put an ask in so someone can take them along?  Ask to be a passenger on maybe a catboat?

    7. Next year: do an open house and volunteers take people out on a sailboat ride.  Make these a more regular thing with a regular schedule.

    8. 4th on July.  Firm max capacity of 70 people, so locked door instead.  

      1. Chat with inspection services, have people chat with them and try for special approval with temporary egress

  11. Hatch Brown Service Award - applaud the efforts of volunteers, can only win it once.  Mail out glass beaver to the recipient for their year
