61st Annual Walter 'Jack' Wood Trophy for the Mass Bay Midget Championship

Results

The 2012 Wood Trophy was held in a beautiful WSW breeze ranging from 8-15 knots. Racing was very close with no protests and excellent sportsmanship. Thank you to MIT Dockmaster Stew Craig who ran most of the races and the dockstaff Phil Gilbert and Kyle Hanson who assisted competitors ashore. The team from Boston Yacht Club made a late charge to close the gap to the team from Winchester Boat Club. Sisters Kelsey Detels and Mill Detels from BYC won the last race to finish tied with Winchester's Michael Yorsz and Rosie Crawford. The tie was broken by ICSA procedural rules as stated in the sailing instructions, and Boston Yacht Club's team wins the 2012 Wood Trophy for the Massachusetts Bay Midget Championship.
